The hotel staff are wonderful, polite and professional. Our room was clean and comfy, it made our stay enjoyable. Breakfast, although light choices and not full range buffet was enjoyable. There were hot food choices along with the more continental offerings. Our room was spacious, well kept and the shower was immersive. Not like some places the moment you turn the hot water on the pressure drops. Not in this shower, it kept the pressure and the shower was great. Underground parking is a big plus especially in bad weather. Our entire stay was fabulous thank you Holiday Inn Calgary. Banff Station for the LRT is across the street, recommend a day pass if traveling a lot. Fare single is $3.80. If going to the zoo as a family, if peak season use the LRT as the station is in the Zoo concourse. Otherwise pay the zoo parking. If going downtown, use the LRT as its easier and there are quite a few restaurants down town for a good meal. If you order in from a take out, you will need to meet them downstairs as the elevators are card access only especially in the evening and early morning. Great security!
Perfect location for catching the lightrail into downtown. It was right beside the motel. Upgraded us to a Jacuzzi room for being platinum members. Clean rooms.
I have stayed here multiple times and appreciate the great breakfast, clean rooms and hotel, and convenient location. One area for potential improvement is the TVs, which could be upgraded to smart TVs, a desirable feature in 2025.
This place was perfect for us and our two kids. It felt very safe with underground parking and key required elevators. The pool/slide was awesome! The breakfasts was a typical continental breakfast but it had multiple options including hard boiled eggs and fresh fruit. Very glad we stayed here.

Late October 2025 I arrived from Australia back home to be with my brother during a medical emergency. I dropped in to stay a night (to be near my brother) and Amandeep (Aman), was an absolute angel. I was rather incoherent and distracted. She was both compassionate and professional; she helped me to be safe and get needed rest, so I could look out for my family. Aman is an outstanding member of staff; management were wise to have hired her and lucky to have her. I am grateful for her flexible and generous approach. Thank you Aman!
As IHG members we arrived at reception to find our room had been upgraded. The receptionist was friendly, efficient and welcoming. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet with a luxurious bed and choice of pillow firmness. Parking is available both underground or outdoors. This hotel is located near many restaurants and shopping. Will definitely be back.
